It is an exciting time to join One Housing Group, especially in its fast-paced communications team.

One Housing is a regulated housing association and is one of the largest providers of supported housing in London and the South East. We manage over 16,000 homes in over 26 different London boroughs and across several Home Counties. We are a social landlord to over 30,000 residents – and support over 11,000 residents to live independently.  We are delighted to join g15 and play our full part in helping to address the housing crisis in London.

We’re looking for a creative, motivated, forwarding thinking Corporate Communications Manager to join our communications team. You will be help us to deliver dynamic communications material in a variety of channels to help us communicate to our residents, customers and corporate stakeholders. You will also help us to deliver dynamic marketing strategies to help us reach hard to reach audiences and support our marketing teams across the business to support their marketing and advertising initiatives. 

Over the last year we’ve been working with our residents, employees, and stakeholders to renew our vision and values. We have just launched our new five year plan which shows that we are committed to improving our services to residents and investing in our communities, as well as building high-quality affordable homes in the areas where we have a long-standing presence.

You will use our new corporate plan to create a new corporate identity which speaks to our new ethos and priorities as an organisation. Your job is to make sure that all of our residents, customers and future residents know our brand and what we stand for as an organisation. You will be responsible for ensuring all of our communications channels - print, digital and that social media are designed with our customer’s needs and user experience is paramount. 

The successful candidate will be ready to hit the ground running. You will be keen to take ownership of this role and deliver high-quality communications activities.

In order to apply for this role, you will have the following experience:

  • Responsible for communicating and marketing our offers to residents and customers.
  • Responsible for brand and reputation management for current and future residents and customers.
  • Experience of project managing a new website with excellent customer experience and user journey mapping.
  • Advising and supporting development marketing & sales team when they are communicating or marketing to current or future residents/ customers.
  • Brand ambassador for the organisation.
  • Responsible for managing corporate public-facing publications, resident and customer publications.
  • Responsible for strategy, management and innovation of our customer-facing channels (digital, social media and other customer channels ex. Ning).
  • Support the resident engagement team with big residents and customer events
  • At least five years relevant communications experience
  • Demonstrable experience in social media and digital marketing including analysing large amounts of data and making decisions which bring about positive change
  • Proficient in writing, editing, commissioning and publishing accurate and appropriate copy for online and printed communications to a variety of audiences
  • Presence and confidence to work with senior management and influence internally particular courses of action in the best interests of the organisation
