We have an exciting new opportunity for an experienced Financial Systems Manager to join our Finance Department working in Head Office in Camden. 

The Finance Department processes transactions and reports on all activity for One Housing Group Limited and all subsidiaries.  Working closely with our Finance Business Partner Team and our Management Accounting Team you will own, manage and add value to the financial systems that we use to support our finance department.  You will play a key role in supporting One Future, our strategy to modernise One Housing, and work as a central point of contact for suppliers, the IT team and the Finance team.

You will be expected to report to budget holders using a mixture of standard and bespoke reports.  Reports produced will support corporate analysis and will be used by the Executive Team, Group Board and other committees, as well as external stakeholders.

You will be technically minded and confident with various financial systems.

The Role

  • Manage the day to day delivery of financial systems (working in partnership with colleagues from IT department), SUN, PiP, Brixx and AllPay
  • Have ownership and maintenance of finance system integrity, controls and security
  • Oversee financial reporting systems to ensure these provide complete, accurate and timely data.
  • Ensure appropriate maintenance of Finance systems for any changes to master and reference data.
  • Ensure all management accounts reporting and Finance Business Partner reports generated from financial systems are updated, reconciled and maintained.
  • Create new system generated reports as required.
  • Provide in house training and support on use of financial systems to user community.
  • Encourage and support a culture of self service by users of financial systems.
  • Provide a central point of expertise with regards to financial systems, with full knowledge of the finance data processes, data architecture and data flows.
  • Work with Finance and wider business stakeholders to understand the end to end business and finance processes pertinent to the finance systems estate.
  • Develop standard operating procedures. Ensure that systems process and controls are fully documented and kept up to date.
  • Ensure a high quality but flexible control environment, especially in relation to developments and data uploads from other systems.
  • Collaborate and foster good working relationships with colleagues from IT team, and third-party suppliers.
  • Champion opportunities to deliver continuous improvement.
  • Ensure appropriate change management processes exist, including sign off any changes in user access permissions.
  • Act as the business continuity lead for Finance

About You

You must have experience of working as a Financial Systems Manager, preferably within a medium/large housing association.  Experience of the following systems is essential:

  • SUN (v6)
  • Infor Vison (Q&A)

Part/Fully Qualified (CIMA/ACCA) is advantageous as is PRINCE 2 qualification.

You should have recent experience of financial reporting and critically analysing outputs, along with extensive financial systems experience.

You should have strong analytical skills, excellent communication skills and have a ‘can do’ attitude.
