An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated and dynamic Project Manager with technical and construction skills to join the Development (Construction) team here at One Housing in the key role of Project Manager.

The Construction team is responsible for delivering housing projects on land acquired via our Acquisitions team and through joint-ventures.

The Role

As an experienced Project Manager, you will work with our Acquisition and Preconstruction teams to take forward new schemes into contract and deliver these through to practical completion and handover.  Therefore, you will:

  • Maintain project information and files and report on project progress, ensuring compliance with audit requirements and key document information.
  • Lead project teams of external consultants and contractors.
  • Consult with internal departments, providing them with timely and accurate information.
  • Produce accurate monthly cash-flows for all projects and manage time, cost and quality performance.
  • Manage project risks.
  • Implement appropriate procurement practices within the recognised guidelines.
  • Manage quality assurance ensuring that defects are minimised at completion and during the defects liability period.

About You

The successful candidate will have experience in the project managing of residential new build and refurbishment projects of all tenures (including private sale) and be confident enough to take over existing projects, resolve any issues and deliver through to completion. 

You will ideally have/be:

  • Educated to degree level
  • Prince 2 or similar project management
  • Knowledge or experience of working and managing complex schemes/residential construction and other diversified activities within the housing sector
  • Experience of the London residential construction sector and sales market
  • Have worked at a Housing Association /Registered Provider
