As the ICT Infrastructure Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring all aspects of the One Housing’s IT Infrastructure is secure, reliable and available to meet operational needs; including but not limited to: servers (including virtual servers), routers, switches, firewalls, data communication lines, operating systems, databases, storage systems, telephony and other types of systems utilised by One Housing.

You will be the first point of escalation for the infrastructure team and will be expected to manage the team’s workload.  You will also be required to deputise in the event of the ICT Technical Services manager being absent or out of the office.

You will provide service support to all One Housing staff as required to minimise disruption to staff during core working hours.  Core systems and data are protected by current disaster recovery procedures and are routinely tested to ensure data is recoverable in the event of a disaster.

You will be expected to work shifts between the hours of 08:00 and 18:00 Monday through Sunday (usual working week is Monday to Friday).

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Design, build, configure, maintain and develop One Housing’s IT Infrastructure as directed by the ICT Technical Services Manager and Head of Technical Services
  • Pro-actively manage the network monitoring solutions and other manual based controls to ensure the network is operating as intended
  • Administer patch management, anti-virus and web filtering
  • Administer and maintain the telephone system, including telephone switches
  • Oversee the creation and updating of phone and voicemail extensions and routing
  • Assist with the design, support and maintenance of One Housing’s customer contact centre telephony system
  • Assist with troubleshooting, systems backups and archiving carried out by the IT Service Desk
  • Perform complex troubleshooting, backup, archiving, and disaster recovery
  • Assist in the design, implementation and maintenance of systems, programs, hardware and software
  • Provide 3rd line support to the Service Desk for escalated incidents and when necessary provide direct telephony support to One Housing staff as directed by the IT Technical Services Manager and Head of Technical Services
  • Inform the IT management team of significant issues as appropriate

As an ICT Infrastructure Manager, you should have:

  • BSc Computer Science or equivalent experience
  • MCSE
  • ITIL Foundation qualified
  • CCNA
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in virtualisation, Citrix, Microsoft, Cisco, Commvault backup, Vasco 2 tier authentication
  • A full clean UK driving license

ACA/Avaya experience and knowledge is desirable as is PRINCE2 qualification.
