Fixed Term 6 months - Full-Time & Part-Time Opportunity

As a Support Assistant you will manage lower needs cases that require supporting vulnerable people to maintain their tenancies and independence.

You will have experience of working with vulnerable adults in a paid or voluntary capacity and a good understanding of housing and benefits legislation with the ability to develop excellent partnerships.

About the role

As a Support Assistant you will be assigned your own caseload of customers and will work to promote tenancy sustainment and customer wellbeing within the community.  This includes day to day responsibilities such as maximisation of customer income, tenancy sustainment, housing, physical and mental health issues, repairs, debt reduction, budgeting, social inclusion and meaningful activity (including employment, training and/or education).

The position is a full-time position working 37.5 hours per week 9am – 5pm Monday to Friday.  There is also a part-time position for 18.75 hours per week. 

About You

We are looking for candidates who have experience of working with vulnerable customers. It is important that you also have experience of recognising and responding to safeguarding issues, abuse and discrimination.  You should be a team player who is able to work autonomously and have excellent interpersonal and communication skills.  Previous experience of lone working is desirable.
