This is an exciting opportunity for adult health and social care professionals to get involved in our innovative service in Kings Cross. We work together in partnership with Camden and Islington NHS Foundation Trust in-house Clinicians to provide an integrated approach and service for customers with complex mental health problems. The success of our ‘Care Support Plus’ model has been recognised as one of a kind, and is now being replicated by many mental health trust across London and the South East.
Critical to our work is ensuring we provide a holistic, multidisciplinary approach to help customers regain their independent living skills and move onto other forms of accommodation.
We have an exciting opportunity for a Specialist Deputy Manager to join our team. Our two services; Tile House and Cliff Road each have 12-15 high-quality, self-contained support housing units.
As a social care professional you will have a background in psychology, counselling, psycho-therapy or occupational therapy. You will have experience of applying your skills and expertise within a setting of supporting adults with complex mental health needs.
You should have the ability to work collaboratively to empower people using recovery and person-centred approaches that are creative and flexible, to motivate people with complex mental health and physical health needs, and promote hope, enthusiasm and optimism.
All successful applicants will receive regular operational and reflective supervision, and access to mandatory and specialist mental health training programmes. Where specialist applicants are registered with professional bodies’ membership fees can be claimed back.
One Housing helps people to ‘live better’ by providing high quality homes and care across London and the south east. We manage approximately 16,000 homes and have plans to build 3,500 more by 2020. We also care for over 11,000 people to help them live independently.
We build and sell new homes on the open market or rent them out commercially to raise money for more affordable homes and for services for our customers. In the last three years we have delivered more than 1,500 new affordable homes to help meet the housing shortage.
