Support Assistant Opportunities – London, Essex and Bedfordshire

We are looking for motivated, flexible and committed individuals to provide support to our clients.  We support people with a variety of complex needs including mental health, alcohol and drug dependency, physical and learning disability, younger and elderly people, offenders and victims of domestic violence.   We also specialise in supporting those that are homeless and young parents. 

Our aim is to improve the quality of life of our customers, building confidence and skills to allow them to live independently while playing an active role in their communities. As Support Assistant you’ll carry out support planning and risk assessments for our customers with the support of a Support Officer. This will involve collaborating with relevant community agencies to ensure customers receive appropriate advice and support. You’ll also be responsible for engaging with customers and raising their awareness of local services and facilities to ensure they have access to training, education and work. Working closely with other departments, you’ll ensure that key performance targets are met and that all customer records are up to date.

To join us as a Support Assistant, you’ll need:

  • Experience of working with vulnerable people with a range of needs in a support capacity
  • Good communication skills and the ability to engage with, and respect the needs of, vulnerable people
  • To work on a rota, which may include evenings and weekends
  • To manage and maintain administration and recording systems
  • To comply with policies & procedures, including: Safeguarding, Health & Safety, Customer Care
  • The successful applicant will be required to provide an enhanced DBS check.

Salary - £16,000 - £18,500 per annum or £8.21 - £9.46 per hour, dependant on location
