We have a great opportunity for a receptionist at Bankhouse which is located on the south bank of the River Thames in Vauxhall.

Our Season, senior living  extra care service has recently opened in May 2017 and has 84 apartments, with its own restaurant, bar, lounge, floating garden, guest suite and spa. The cityscape views from the apartments ate breath-taking and you will be proud to be part of team

The Role

The reception area within our Season offices provides a welcoming environment and source of information and assistance to all residents, guests and visitors.  Our offices are visited by a wide range of people including potential customers, customers, business partners and members of the public. The receptionist is responsible for maintaining the appearance of all the information available in the reception area and ensuring that all visitors’ needs are met, mindful of issues of equality and diversity.  All face to face contact and telephone enquiries are dealt with pleasantly, effectively and efficiently.   We are looking for someone with a helpful, pleasant and friendly personality who will go out of their way to ensure visitors and residents experience are given first class customer service.

Key Responsibilities

  • To warmly welcome and receive all visitors to the property, ensuring that the appropriate register is completed, and the relevant resident and/or staff member is notified.
  •  You will also coordinate and at times guide prospective residents, and/or relatives/representatives around the property, ensuring that they are given an opportunity to view the facilities and services available.
  • Coordinate and guide visitors and  contractors into the building
  • To receive, process and distribute all incoming calls, mail, and e-mail etc. in an appropriate and timely manner.
  • Supporting the team in routine correspondence and other administrative tasks as required in connection with the administration of the property and service provision when requested.
  • Ensure adequate stocks of forms, stationery, and other are available in the receptions area and it is always clean and tidy.
  • Coordinate a number of service offer process, i.e. ensure adequate supply of uniforms, PPE and refreshments.

Role Requirements:

  • Excellent Microsoft office skills
  • Have previous experience within a similar role in reception and ability to deal calmly and pleasantly with a diverse section of customers
  • Possess positive energy, friendly smile and supportive approach
  • Have a “can do” attitude
  • Be solutions focussed and driven and have exceptional organisational skills
  • Along with providing efficient and professional reception within the home, your role will include close interaction with staff, residents and family members therefore you should possess exceptional customer service which is key both face to face and on the telephone.
  • Excellent telephone manner and switchboard experience
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrable ability to multi-task in a busy area
  • Ability to work as part of a team and on own initiative
  • Ability to keep calm during busy periods
  • Empathetic, caring and understanding of the issues that can impact on the daily lives of older people
  • Flexible to work shifts Monday to Sunday 9am until 5pm
